Terms of Service

Last updated: 21 June 2026

These Terms govern your use of Mary, a household-management assistant that reads your connected email inbox to surface subscriptions, bills, renewals, documents and tasks. By creating an account or connecting an inbox, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Mary.

1. Who we are

Mary is operated by Ausfit Torsion Bars Pty Ltd, 24 Legge Street, Roselands 2196, NSW (“we”, “us”, “our”). You can reach us at hello@meet-mary.com.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Mary. By using the service you confirm you meet these requirements and that any information you give us is accurate.

3. Your account and connected inboxes

4. Early access

Mary is currently offered in early access and is provided free of charge. Features may change, break or be removed, and the service may be unavailable from time to time. If we introduce paid plans, we'll give you notice and a choice before charging you.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. Your content

Your emails, documents and the household data derived from them remain yours. You grant us a limited licence to host, process and display that content only as needed to operate the service for you. We claim no ownership over your content and handle it as set out in the Privacy Policy.

7. AI-generated output — accuracy and reliance

Mary uses automated classification and AI to read your mail and extract details such as amounts, due dates and renewal dates. This output can be incomplete or wrong. Mary is an organisational aid, not a financial, legal, tax or insurance adviser, and it does not guarantee that every bill, renewal or deadline will be detected or that any reminder will be delivered. You remain responsible for your own payments, renewals and decisions. Always verify important information against the original source.

8. Third-party services

Mary relies on third-party services — including Google (Gmail), and our infrastructure and AI providers — and your use of Mary is also subject to their terms. We're not responsible for those third parties' acts, omissions or availability. Your use of Google services through Mary is subject to Google's terms and policies.

9. Service availability and changes

We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We'll try to give reasonable notice of significant changes where practical, but we aren't liable for any modification, suspension or discontinuation.

10. Termination

You may stop using Mary and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continuing to provide the service becomes impractical. On termination, your right to use the service ends and we will handle your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mary is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability for a breach of such a guarantee can be limited, it is limited (at our option) to re-supplying the service or paying the cost of re-supply.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, savings, or missed payments, deadlines or renewals, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) Mary. To the extent we are liable, our total aggregate liability is limited to AUD $100 or, if greater, the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against reasonable claims, losses and costs arising from your misuse of the service or breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by us.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that place. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, give more prominent notice. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
